Government collaborators are scouring the Maungdaw township and places near the Bangladesh border in search of six missing men who escaped from Kiang Dong, Rathedaung.
Locals say that three tabbes – – Hasan, Noor Mohammed and Bendula even attempted to strike a deal with Bangladesh Border Guards to arrest the men if they are hiding in that country. Bangladesh security officials have reportedly turned down the deal.
The three tabbes have also tried to cross the border, claimed a source.
The news of tabbes crossing over have infuriated Rohingyas in Bangladesh refugee camps. Refugees have told Burma Times that the tabbes will be resisted at all costs.
Meanwhile sources in Rajar Bil say that two tabbes Mostak Ahmed and Jamil are taking the lead in harassing innocent Rohingyas in the area.
