BGP assaulted two boys in Naffura, Maungdaw North during a raid.
BGP raided a fishing hatchery in the village on Thursday after the owners failed make a monthly payment. Rohingya Muslims in Arakan are required to pay protection money for all commercial ventures.
When the owners heard the BGP approaching, they ran away. When the BGP did not find anyone, they turned their fury on two teenagers running a stall nearby.
The victims are Ilias (15) and Ayub Khan (14).
The BGP proceeded to beat the two boys till they fainted. They were then taken to the camp. Later their families paid 350,000 to release them at around noon.
In the same village tract, police found Md Abdullah (26) using a Bangladesh SIM card on Wednesday. He was taken to camp and beaten till his bones were broken. He was released at around mid night for the payment of 400,000 kyats. He is in a critical condition following the assault.
