Bangladesh police killed three notorious traffickers in a dawn raid on Thursday.
The three traffickers were picked up from their homes by police.
The dead has been identified as Dholu Hossain (55), Jahangir Alam (30), and Zafar Alam, (25).
Rohingya refugees say that many innocent people have killed in the hands of these traffickers.
Dholu is known as one of the pioneers of the human trafficking trade in the area, according to Bangladesh media. He is also alleged to have close links with the local parliamentarian of the area.
Their deaths might be a sign that Bangladesh authorities are starting to crackdown on the thriving trade in the area amidst international concerns.
