Two Rohingya man have been beaten to death by traffickers in Thailand.
Relatives received news of the death of Din Mohammad s/o Kamal and Nur us Salam s/o Noor Mohammed on Thursday.
Other victims informed that Din and Nur were late on payment of the fee for traffickers. They also said that a human trafficking kingpin Din Mohammad (not to be confused with victim) and Mojibullah were responsible for the killings.
The killers then promised to hold a funeral and proper burial rites for the deceased. Instead they dumped the bodies in the jungle.
Many Rohingyas are confined in camps in Southern Thailand until their family makes the total payment. Delay or failure to make the payment results in torture often leading to death.
Meanwhile a boat belonging to the trafficker Din Mohammad is waiting near the St Martin’s Island in Bangladesh to carry Rohingyas to Thailand, according to our correspondent.
