Two refugees were assaulted and robbed in Hyderabad of India on Saturday.
15 year Aleu Tanha and 16 year Noor Hashim were sitting in their shop when a group of miscreants picked them up. They were taken to a corner and severely beaten up.
Afterwards the miscreants kept their phones and cash from the shop. The miscreants also cursed them in racist language and told them to go home.
Locals say the Balapur area home of hundreds of refugees in Hyderabad does not enjoy any police protection.
Activists say although Rohingyas are better treated than before, the lack of security and livelihood options is a cause for concern.
