Two traders were robbed by BGP and left for dead in Akyab.
On Thursday, coconut traders Hossain Ahmed (37) and Kalu (55), were returning to their homes in Matiya para when the BGP intercepted them. They were severely beaten up and robbed of their belongings. Afterwards they were dumped on the rail tracks near the Sittwe University in the hope they would be crushed underneath the wheels in an unconscious state.
They however managed to roll away from the tracks and save themselves. Later other Rohingyas found them and took them to an NGO operated clinic in Chaki para.
