The government rejected a resolution from the UN Human Rights Council decision regarding Rohingya Muslims.
The foreign ministry released a statement rejecting the resolution saying that the decision violated the state’s sovereignty and the accusations about human rights abuses were incorrect.
The OIC had earlier submitted the proposal to the UN body.
Meanwhile regional powerhouse India has come out strongly in favour of Burma saying the country was trying its best to bring peace and stability in the restive state of Arakan.
