While all the concerned parties are engaged and entire its citizens are very emotional by taking prospect of political changes in Burma, crowd of UN delegations, foreign diplomats, representatives of INGOs and NGOs are serially paying visits to internal displaced people in the country’s eastern side Arakan state.
Among the foreigners, a group of delegations led by US deputy Ambassador have visited Sittwe, the capital of Arakan on Feb 22, at about 1:30 PM.
In the course of their visit, they met the Rohingya leader U Kyaw Hla Aung, an advocate and a well-known politician who is living one of the IDP camps in Sittwe along with some other prominent Rohingya elders.
During their meeting with Rohingya elders, they asked some questions deliberately over the education, health and political situation of the Rohingyas and U Kyaw Hla Aung has discussed situations with them with long explanations.
Rohingya are discriminately targeted in Burma as a political tool by the Burmese dictator military leaders and ultra-nationalist Rakhine politicians since 2012. They all are allegedly accused as illegal immigrant Bengalis even being the original natives of the soil and after having centuries old historical evidences. Many in international arena assumed that they are faced a kind of solo-burning genocide since then.
