Rohingya Muslims in Hawar Bil, Maungdaw North are facing extreme shortages of water following a long dry spell, reports our local correspondent.
Locals say that they are now dependent on unhygienic water from the springs which is resulting in sufferings for many especially the children. Diarrhoea and other water borne diseases are increasingly common in the village.
Under such circumstances they have requested Rohingya NGOs and the international community to provide them with immediate aid.
