Rakhine nationalist youths at Akyab have pledged to cleanse the Arakan of Muslims in a public gathering on Friday.
At the gathering, Rakhine youths pledged that there will be further attacks on Muslims until there are no more of them left in Arakan. They reported discussed methods to achieve the ethnic cleansing.
They spoke of a pure Muslim free Rakhine land in the meeting.
The nationalists also blamed the international community for being biased towards Muslims and said they will take matters into their own hands.
They also said Buddhists were unfairly blamed for violence in the region.
Restrictions on Rohingya media and activists have made it very difficult to get full information of the gathering in Akyab.
