Two Rohingya refugees Genocide survivor at United Nations

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – BT: UN special Rapporteur on human rights in Myanmar Yanghee Lee holds a joint press conference with Rohingyas in Geneva, Switzerland on March 11, 2019.

Two Rohingya refugees have arrived in Geneva from Bangladesh to address a United Nations Human Rights Council meeting on Monday.

The UN Special Rapporteur on Myanmar Yanghee Lee, will also deliver a report on her visit to Cox’s Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh last month. The camp is home to almost a million Rohingya who have been forced to escape violence in neighbouring Myanmar.

Hamida khatun said ”In August 2017. I fled Burma to Bangladesh when my village was attacked. My Rohingya brothers and sisters were killed. My husband and mother were killed”
